What is Odoo Enterprise?
Odoo Enterprise is the premium version of the Odoo ERP system, designed for businesses needing advanced tools and support. It offers features like enhanced analytics, inventory management, customizable workflows, and priority support. Unlike the free Community edition, Odoo Enterprise requires a paid license based on the number of users and apps selected.
Odoo Pricing Models
Odoo has two main versions:
- Community Edition: Free and suitable for small businesses or startups.
- Enterprise Edition: Paid and includes all apps and features. Pricing depends on the number of users.
How Odoo Counts Users
Enterprise pricing is user-based. A single license covers all users in one company for Odoo Online. For on-premise or multi-company setups, the “custom” plan covers all users in one production database.
Who Pays for Odoo?
Only internal users with backend access are billed. Archived users, portal users, and public users (like customers) are free.
Regional Pricing
Odoo Enterprise costs vary by country and plan. Check Odoo’s website or contact them for accurate pricing in your region.
Discounts
for Longer Contracts:
A
longer contract term, such as 2, 3, or even 5 years, can significantly reduce
licensing fees. Odoo offers a 20% discount for initial contracts, and at renewal,
if past charges are lower than current rates, increases will be capped at 7%.
For example, choosing a 5-year contract and renewing every 5 years limits price
increases to 14% over 15 years.
For
businesses operating across multiple regions, consider purchasing licenses in a
location with lower rates. While global clients pay standard rates based on the
highest price list, companies with users in lower-cost regions can negotiate
better terms.
If
your business has over 100 users, it may be worthwhile to contact your
subscription manager directly to discuss additional discounts or custom
pricing. A larger user base can provide leverage in negotiating favorable
terms.
